Cohen Poirier

Cohen is an undergraduate mechanical engineering student joining the lab for his second co-op placement. The electric trike project he completed on his last term with the lab, in Fall of 2016, will be the focus of his research at RESL in Summer 2017. The goal of the term is to build a second prototype of the trike by improving upon the first prototype.

Outside of engineering, Cohen enjoys staying active, as he takes part in Dalhousie intramurals for basketball while routinely cycling to work each day. Camping, hiking, canoeing, and other outdoor activities have motivated Cohen to work toward changing the way we consume energy in order to help preserve the environment. The trike project is something that Cohen is very passionate about, as it aims to provide a clean and active means of transportation to the general public.
