Cohen Poirier

Cohen is an undergraduate mechanical engineering student who joined RESL for co-op work terms in 2016 and 2017. The electric trike project he completed on his last term with the lab, in Fall of 2016, was re-created in a new form using alternative components and a custom power-multiplier controller.

Outside of engineering, Cohen enjoys staying active, as he takes part in Dalhousie intramurals for basketball while routinely cycling to work each day. Camping, hiking, canoeing, and other outdoor activities have motivated Cohen to work toward changing the way we consume energy in order to help preserve the environment. The trike project is something that Cohen is very passionate about, as it aims to provide a clean and active means of transportation to the general public.
